Bombardier launches Outlander 800, turns ATV focus to fun
Author: Dealernews

In the land of press embargoes and company secrets, BRP's plans to revamp its ATV focus with the '06 model offering simmered in the background for months. In early June the announcement was made and it went off like an information bomb.

Most notable in the gush of words coming out of BRP is the launch of the company's Outlander 800 H.O. EFI, reportedly the most powerful ATV now on the market.

Not only has the Quebec-based OEM launched itself headfirst into the recreational-utility ATV market, it's done so by building an electronically fuel-injected 800cc four-wheeler aimed at toppling the big boys already on the block.

"This new addition to the Outlander family is the perfect example of the new approach at BRP," says Pierre Aresenault, VP and GM for snowmobiles, ATVs, watercraft and sport boats. "It's a tough four-wheeler for ATV enthusiasts who want adrenaline-surging acceleration and razor-sharp handling in addition to extreme function and utility."

The Outlander 800 also comes in a MAX two-rider model that comes with a convertible rack/seat system with a backrest. No second rider? Your customer can remove the extra seat and backrest and install the totable storage box, rear cargo box or trunk box.
